RGZ (abbreviation for "Refined Zeta Gundam") was an attempt by Anaheim Electronics, the mass production of the famous Zeta Gundam MSZ-006 Gryps of conflict and the First Neo-Zeon War. As the transformation system was very expensive to mass produce, rather than anchoring the RGZ measurement with a special weapon back (BWS) system to change shape Waverider-like.

Since the weapons of RGZ not work when connected, the BWS is armed with weapons to additional beams and rocket launchers. Despite these changes, it was then decided that the RGZ was too expensive for mass production, so that only the prototype was completed.
